Max McConnell should have Guinness in his veins instead of blood - having spent his whole life in and around pubs, he grew up in The Battery Inn at Glenwherry which was owned by his parents.

In more recent years, Max and his wife Heather managed the nearby Ballyclare Golf Club for nine years before taking over The Five Corners in 1989 which was then just a small country pub with lots of potential.

The Five Corners Guest Inn has now been enlarged and extended to include the popular Scots Corner Restaurant, the Inn has the only ondoor golf simulator in Ireland where you can play courses such as Pebble Beach and St Andrews using real clubs and balls, as well as eleven guest rooms, with family, double and single rooms available.

You'll also find regular weekly entertainment and a separate games room with pool and darts, you can be sure to find something at the Five Corners to suit all tastes.

We have full facilities available for disabled users and guests at The Five Corners Guest Inn, with lift access, roll in bathrooms and handrails etc. The Scots Corner Restaurant on the 1st floor is also fully accessable to the disabled.

Having a long connection with golf we are also well known for organising full golfing packages both locally to Ballyclare Golf Club, and further afield to some of the world class clubs in Northern Ireland, this also includes arranging all necessary transfers.
